the first commitment from the class of
2012 comes from right here in Michigan
as 2x state champ and Fargo Double
Champ Freddie Rodriguez informed
Michigan Grappler that he has verbally
committed to wrestle for the Michigan
State Spartans.  Rodriguez attributed
location, coaching, academic support, and
Spartan pride as his reasons for picking

Wildmo staying close to home - picks State
8/30 - Michigan State University received their first commitment of this recruiting
season and it was a big one.  2x Division 3 State Champion Roger Wildmo of Durand informed Michigan Grappler that he will be wearing Green & White and wrestling for the Spartans following his senior season this year.  Wildmo, who was 3rd at the FloNationals last Spring and 8th at the Super 32s last fall, is the ranked by InterMat as the #34 senior recruit in the country, the highest of all Michigan wrestlers.  He projects at 149 for Michigan State, click more for our full story.

8/26 - Michigan Grappler's fall class rankings continue as our list of the Top 25 pound-for-pound wrestlers in the Class of 2012 have been released.  After winning Junior National titles in both freestyle and greco-roman, Freddie

8/22 - The top senior recruit in Michigan made his college plans this weekend as 2x state champ Conor Youtsey of Mason informed MI Grappler that he will be taking his talent to West Point to wrestler for the Army.  Click headline for full story.

8/17 - MI Grappler will be sponsoring a group of wrestlers to compete at the NUWAY Southwest Kickoff Classic on Halloween weekend.  Any wrestler who registers for the Grappler Fall Classic before Sept 3 will be entered for a chance to win airfare, hotel, and entry to the tournament as part of Team Grappler.  Click the headline for full details.

Natale wins Fab 50 Crown

Waldo returning home to wrestle for Chipps
8/2 - Former Rockford High School 4x state champ Kyle Waldo will be returning to the Great Lakes State this year. Rodriguez lights up Fargo finals
7/25- - Freddie Rodriguez continued his magical off season with a Junior Freestyle National Title in Fargo.  Rodriguez scored a huge upset win over #1 nationally ranked Evan Silver of Blair Academy in New Jersey to claim a double title following his Greco Title earlier in the week.  Click the headline for the full recap.
